What is the company’s vision statement?
To reveal cancer as never before and beat it for everyone, everywhere.
What is the company’s mission?
To create a machine that combines biotargeting with radiation and enable the first-ever systemic reach for radiotherapy for patients with any stage of cancer.
What is SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy?
SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy™ is the first to utilize the unique biology of the cancer itself to control radiotherapy delivery, even in tumors that are moving. The RefleXion® X1 machine with SCINTIX therapy is the first-ever platform that combines PET (positron-emission tomography) technology—the gold standard for cancer staging and imaging—with radiation therapy to track radiation dose delivery and potentially treat multiple tumors during daily treatment while sparing healthy tissue.
What indications can SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy treat?
SCINTIX therapy is indicated for tumors in the lung or bone and is FDA cleared.
How does SCINTIX therapy work?
SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy is delivered through the RefleXion X1 machine, which combines positron emission tomography (PET) with a linear accelerator (LINAC) to deliver a radiation dose that tracks the cancer’s motion. Immediately prior to treatment, the patient is injected with a radiopharmaceutical that interacts with cancer cells to produce signals or emissions. The X1 continuously constructs a map from the detected emissions data that determines where to aim beamlets of radiation.
When will SCINTIX therapy be available to patients?
SCINTIX therapy is now commercially available for sale. Please contact your healthcare provider for availability.
What does the name SCINTIX mean?
Our unique name for biology-guided radiotherapy is a nod to our underlying scintillation technology that makes it all possible. The first part of the name “SCINTI” refers to our unique PET scintillation technology that captures the signals from the radiopharmaceuticals we use in real time to see the cancer. The last letter “X” refers to treating with X-rays or photons. So, taken together, the name is intended to denote “seeing” the disease combined with then treating it.
Am I able to deliver SBRT with the RefleXion X1 platform?
Yes. In addition to SCINTIX therapy, you can also deliver SBRT, SRS and IMRT to treat any solid indicated tumors throughout the body
Will the RefleXion platform fit in my existing vault?
The RefleXion X1 fits in most standard radiotherapy vaults with minimum shielding requirements to reduce the implementation timelines and startup costs.
Will my existing immobilization devices work with the RefleXion X1?
Yes. The RefleXion X1 includes a premium couch top with indexing that allows for 3rd party immobilization devices.
Is my existing treatment planning system compatible with the RefleXion X1?
Your contouring tools are compatible and the RefleXion X1 treatment planning system handles plan optimization and dose calculation.
